Neonbrite Online dentistry and Orthodontics Review

I am writing a review about NEONBRITE as I could not find any reviews before I decided to purchase from this website.

What I wanted to purchase- Clear retainer, top and bottom as a replacement for one I had grown out of.
Price- £177 dollars including postage worldwide which was around £113 UK Sterling.
To good to be true? Definitely!

I tried to review this website before I bought the product however the only reviews of the merchandise was on the website itself- obviously this was going to be chosen by the owner themselves, his name is 'Rob'. If the reviews on the website were genuine at all- which when you hear what happened in my circumstances, the reviews are probably fictitious. 

I seen on the website that it used paypal as a method of purchasing, because of this I decided to buy the product as I knew paypal offered security and protection to buyers.

That was on the 5 May 2012.

After no contact with the seller, (not without attempts,) on 29 May 2012 I have yet to receive any products.

The only information I received was the dispatch notice where 'Rob' gave me a tracking number for the USPS courier. The update from 17 May 2012 was that the item was in Los Angeles, there were no further updates. 

I decided to open a dispute within paypal, where I stated all the issues and wished to get this resolved.

I then received emails from 'Rob' which were extremely rude and unhelpful. He was extremely unprofessional and used inappropriate language. I got into direct contact with paypal and emailed them all the emails I had received along with a screen shot of the USPS courier website. After reviewing this information I finally got my money back!

Please, do not purchase from this website, I suppose the rule of thumb is- if it sounds too good to be true, it is! 

Go to your dentist or orthodontist and buy the product you need!

If anyone else has had any bad experiences from this website please comment below, the more information the better so that others can make an informed decision.

Just to provide an update, I have since received several emails from Rob concerning this website, trying to get me to remove the content. His emails have been consistent in trying to remove the comments on this post. This is a staggering two years since I first had contact with Rob. This is because this blog is doing it's job and warning people about his consumer actions. I have also received an email from Blogger telling me that fake profiles have been created on several occasions to try and comment on this blog, Blogger has removed these posts as they have been created by the same IP address... I wonder who that is?

People- buy smart, review your purchases and if in doubt always use a reliable tool like paypal to purchase. I'm sorry for anyone who has been fooled as it can cost a lot of money

  1. I just want to add to this review that I have now got a retainer from Ebay of all places! And ti is perfect, and by far cheaper than what Mr Rob from Neon Brite was offering. I paid £50 that includes delivery. If the impressions were not correct he would keep sending out putty to re-do free of charge. That is what is called customer satisfaction. The man I purchased from was based in Manchester.

      I'm facing the problem of him not replying. I'm from Singapore, but he sent the package to China. I emailed him but he didn't reply me. What am I going to do? It's my hard earned money and I have to work and study at the same time.

      I am really sorry to hear about your woes, sorry for the delayed reply, I took a break from moderating my blog. I hope you have got the situation resolved now. I would always stress that when making purchases online, try to use paypal as much as possible to protect yourself.

  2. Gosh, if only I have done more research before spending over $700 for a partial denture through Neon Brite, I feel like an idiot and $700 poorer! The public needs to be informed of this so that this jerk doesn't steal more people's money :/

      Sorry for the delay, the holiday season kept me busy.

      Can I ask how you made your purchase? If it was through paypal, you can raise a case against Neon Brite with no hassle, and try and get your money back!

      If it was through a direct payment, I would get in touch with your bank or building society and see if they can offer any help- particularly with credit cards as there is protections in place for fraudulent/mishandled goods.

      I hope you get your money back, sorry to hear you were also a victim of this company.

  3. This person has done the same thing to me. He sent me a retainer that was no good which I had to send back. His descriptions on the website is misleading. He has taken my money, promised me a refund or a replacement and I never heard from him again. This man is a thief, a fraud. I wish I had information like this before I ever made the huge mistake of deciding to use this person. I have all the emails he sent to me, promising my money back, promising a replacement. He either ignores your emails or he outright lies.

    1. I completely agree with you Romanov, it is an absolute disgrace. It seems there is a lot of this type of thing happening with regards to Neonbrite. The situation you describe sounds exactly what I went through. Which is the only reason I created a blog. I have also seen your comment about going to ripoffreport, thank you for this suggestion, I will definitely do this as I think it is important that other people can be protected from this type of thing. Unfortunately it sounds like too many people have been scammed so hopefully our views and comments on this site and also ripoffreport might help others before buying and maybe eventually his site will be taken out.

  6. i am so glad i read these reviews! as i was reading up on neon brite i was exicted to finally get a retainer for cheap! can u please let me know where you found your retainer on ebay at??

    I purchased my retainer with ebay user name smilesbetterteeth

    The purchase I made with this ebay user was great and I still use the retainers to this day, so I hope this works out for you and you get the same service I received, although I want to be careful and say that I am not endorsing just this particular seller, I'm sure there are many other sellers out there who have an equally impressive service.

    Good work for doing some research as well.

  10. I read this review before purchasing a flexible partial denture through Neon Brite, and I have to say - you almost scared me away from my purchase. I'm sorry you had a bad experience. I've had a completely positive experience, from beginning to end.

    I emailed him before I ordered my piece to start communication and confirm he'd reply quickly. (I read your warning.) He did. In fact, I had several questions over a two month period (like I said, I was very cautious after reading your review), and he always responded. My experience went exactly as he stated and as the website stated it would go. I even got my piece back in less than expected time, because it didn't take a full 10 days in the lab.

    Again, I ordered a different product (flexible partial vs a retainer) and I'm in the US, but I've had a completely positive experience. Sorry to hear it didn't work out for you. I know that must have been disappointing. I know I really had my hopes up that this would work out for me, and I'm so thankful it has. I'd recommend him based on my experience.

  11. I was a little apprehensive of ordering because of the bad reviews. However I am so glad that I took a chance, and ordered. Each time that I called Rob, he promptly answered all questions or concerns. He also promptly resent me new putty as my initial mold was unusable . I recently received my hawley retainer with finger springs and I'm excited to see the end results. So far so good and the retainer fits comfortably. I will definitely recommend this company to family and friends

  14. I received exactly what I ordered from the company. Any concerns or complaints was answered immediately by the "middle-man" Rob. I was very pleased with the beginning to end process. I am not sure why the company has any bad reviews because they deliver what they promise. I think before anyone makes a "harsh" judgement on the company, call Rob and ask him. I am satisfied completely. In fact, the product was way better than I expected and even got my molds back of my teeth..amazing!

  16. I know its been a long time but I was unable to find the seller you listed where you made the successful retainer purchase. I purchased a retainer from ebay and didnt have good luck with it. I received the stuff to make my impressions but never received the retainer. The seller closed his account and I eventually received a refund. Ive been nervous ever since about purchasing online. Ive been looking at other sellers on ebay but majority if not all of their reviews are positive. Can you help me?

  17. Don't be afraid to order from rob I ordered my Hawley retainers from him they fit like a glove. He answered all my questions I had for him about a month prior to when I ordered my retainers from him. I had a great experience from start to finish I plan on getting another set of retainers soon from him. I'm sorry some of you had a bad experience with Rob but calling him names is immature. If you need the website to prove what I am saying go to www.dental-lab-direct.com don't bash him over a bad experience that some of you had. I got what I ordered from him. Hope this helps any future buyers who wants to buy retainers or anything in that area.

  19. Well, Today is December 9, 2015 and i just ordered and purchased upper and lower retainers from Rob who answered his phone and was quite professional. He promised to ship out the material for my impressions tomorrow to Jamaica. So will definitely keep you updated and prove his accusations wrong.

  20. Linny G I would like to say, I just received my retainers and Robert Owen did an excellent job on themthem! Throughout the process I made a couple mistakes but he was patient assisted me through them and sent his deliveries speedily! I'm very satisfied :)

  22. I just received my second partial implant from Dental Direct and am speechless! The incredible quality of the appliance is beyond explanation but I’ll try.
    I lost my tooth right up front and did not have time to have a permanent denture implanted. I discovered Dental-Lab-Direct after some Internet browsing.
    After placing the order, I received the putty  which is VERY EASY as long as you watch the directions.
    Only a short time later did I receive my new tooth! It fit so effortlessly I thought it had fallen out! I was used  to a heavy metal appliance and this was unexpected. It allowed me to taste food again as my old appliance covered the roof of my mouth.
    The real reason you can feel confident in your purchase is the customer service! I lost that first tooth after 2 days and the owner of Dental Labs Direct, Robert Owens, listened my plight. He prioritized a replacement for me. All in time for a family reunion with a week to spare!
    If you are reticent to spend as you are concerned for the fit, I understand. However the quality product matched with very responsive and caring owner make it an easy choice and I purchased  2!
    I have been smiling ever since and I am happy to provide before and after to anyone. I. Robert Owen should be proud of the work he is doing

I ordered a false tooth retainer, took about 5 weeks turn around time to get to me, the only complaint I have, I live in the States (Arizona) my only complaint is that amount of time it took to get to me, but other than that the retainer looks fabulous, Rob can be a little hard to contact also but nothing too crazy, all in all it beats paying over $1000 in the USA for something similar, you won't be disappointed!!

  26. I am suspicious of these claimers, could we be dealing with the technique used by some, to use a public complaint to cheaply enrich their similar business through elimination by so called "man on the street" negatives.

    I ordered from this guy Rob in 2015 and he bent over backwards trying to get me my appliance before I left the country, the order late due to my own hold up making payment. He got it to me from Texas to LAX 2 hours before my departure to Southeast Asia. Great and successful effort.

    I found this group of complaints today while looking for his phone number, for I am sending 800 USD for another appliance, with no second thoughts, due to that personal past experience, that past product fit and worked very well.

  29. I'm very surprised to see all these bad reviews! I have ordered the Clear Aligners from Rob at Neonbrite. I had a great experience, with the Product, and Rob was very helpful. If anything I think he does it all himself,return emails and product took awhile to recieve. But, I'm still completely satisfied!!

  32. Yep. I ordered a third time from Neonbrite after a couple of successful orders. A quagmire of miscommunication resulted in me never getting my product, a totally runaround from "Rob" regarding reimbursement that was "no problem" yet never occured. Report to BBB (of which they are NOT a member, imagine that) resulted in them refusing to respond. So I'm out $500. That amounts to theft in my book. NEVER order anything from Neonbrite!!!!
